Professor Mary Ellen Camire is the new
Editor-in-Chief of the AACC Intnernational Cereal Science Knowledge
Database. Dr. Camire has also been appointed to the Scientific Advisory
Committeee of the Grains and Health Foundation. she also serves on the
organizing committe for the Whole Grains Global Summit to be held in
Newcastle, UK in March. Professor Mary Ellen Camire has been awarded a sabbatical for the Spring 2009 semester. Dr. Camire is the current president of the grain society AACC International. Dr. Wu was invited to teach a special course series entitled "Microbial Detection for Food Safety and HACCP at Shanghai Ocean University. Shanghai, China. Dec 15-19, 2008. Professor Mary Ellen Camire attended
the 13th Bread and Cereal Congress of the International Association for
Cereal Science and Technology (ICC) in Madrid, Spain (June 2008) where she
was a member of the award jury for the Puratos Great Taste and Wellness
presentation competition. Professor Dorothy Klimis-Zacas was elected as treasurer on the new ISTERH (International Society of Trace Element Research in the Human) Board (2007-2010).
